All of the talk for the past week or so has been about the beautiful Super Moon we were going to witness on Saturday night. Unfortunately, here in Antigonish that didn't happen. I was so bummed. But, Friday night I popped out onto my back deck and took two quick shots of the moon rising. Later that night like around 10:00, I left the house for a few more photos, but it was just going to be another typical moon picture, and I have lots of the "usual" pics. I wanted something different, but my creative brain was on slow mo, so what I did was head out with the tripod and a 10-22 I had rented for the Baccalaureate Mass, and took some photos I've been wanting to take for a long time. The wharf at night looks so pretty with the lights on, and the boats all nestled into their docks. So I headed down to the beach for some slow shutter speed action. I got all set up and began my fist exposure. I turned around to find my dog rolling in what was probably fish bait, and gave him a little nudge to get up. The last thing I wanted was to take a stinky dog home with me, but that's exactly what happened. He wasn't rolling in fish bait, he got sprayed by a skunk!! UGH!! It's been raining ever since, so just imagine how he smells wet dog + wet skunky dog = PLACK! Anyway, I played around and had way too much fun. Realizing when I got home it was midnight, and I didn't even tell him where I was going! Boper was long in bed and sound asleep. Ooops! Sorry dear!
Here are a few pics of the night before the Super Moon!
